Garage Sale Coordinator Needed

Heritage Lake Association is in search of a new volunteer Garage Sale Coordinator.

Two community garage sales are held each year at Heritage Lake – one in the spring (usually April/May) and one in the fall (usually September). These sales have become a bi-annual tradition and draw people from all over central Illinois to shop, eat, and enjoy the day. Heritage Lake residents participate by cleaning out clutter, setting up a sale, and making some money! A $5 advertising fee is collected from each participant. This pays for advertising in local newspapers and duplication of sale maps which includes a list of items for sale.

The Garage Sale Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks

  • Develop registration form
  • Solicit resident participation
  • Track registration and collect fees
  • Place appropriate ads as funds allow
  • Create sale map and print as funds allow
