As you may have noticed we have a lot of construction work going on at Heritage Lake right now. Between the Ameren work and the repetitive freeze and thaw this month, there are many broken up spots along our roads. We are currently grinding up these soft spots and filling them with white rock to form a base. Once Ameren has completed their work (hopefully within a month) we will put down a finished surface. We realize that some of these areas are quite large. The white rock base and delay of finished surface has been chosen because of the current moisture levels in our roads. Other patching methods were attempted and failed due to the high moisture.
Please slow down and be cautious around workers and through patched areas. This road work is to the benefit of all HLA members. There have been reports of drivers cutting through front yards to avoid workers. Please be careful around workers and respectful of other member’s property.
If you have questions and or concerns please attend the HLA Annual Meeting this Saturday at the Lodge at 9am.
