There are a lot of updates in this article, however we want to make sure members don’t loose sight of a few very important dates.

• Road resurfacing dates: August 28 to September 1.
• Spray patching dates: August 23 to 25.
• Ditch reconstruction dates: Finished on August 24.

Please remember to not park your vehicles on the shoulders or int he ditches while work is happening on your street.   Heritage Lake Association will be contacting the School Bus, Mail, and Garbage Services to inform them of the construction.  Some disruption to these services may occur while the road work is ongoing.  We will post any new information the Association has on these services as we have it.

Ditch Reconstruction, Culvert Repairs, and Road Repairs

• Road patching on all streets for the 2017 improvements is complete.
• All culvert repairs, reinforcement, additional storm water culverts/sewers, and driveway culverts are complete.
• Shoulder repair and ditch reshaping will complete this week, Wednesday or Thursday, weather dependent.
• Straw matting and re-seeding of all excavated ditches and shoulders is part of the contract and will be completed this week as well.
• Additional temporary erosion control will be installed in select areas.
• Reminder, please keep vehicles out of the ditches on the streets listed below from 7 am to 6 pm, so work can be completed in a timely manner.

Spray Patching

• Spray patching will take place on the streets listed below between Wednesday, August 23rd to Friday, August 25th.
• There aren’t any special instructions for spray patching other than watch out for workers in the road, and don’t park vehicles on the shoulders.
• Some shoulders are scheduled for spray patching.

Road Resurfacing

• Road resurfacing is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday, August 28, 2017 and will end on Friday, September 1, 2017.
• Work is weather dependent, so the website will be updated as dates change.
• Greenbriar was added to the resurfacing list for 2017.
• During this time, do not park vehicles on the streets listed below from 7 am to 6 pm.

Update on Additional Road Related Projects for 2017

Ditch Reconstruction Phase 2

The road committee and the engineering firm are planning ditch reconstruction and cross road and driveway culvert repairs on the streets listed below.  Planning activities started on August 16, 2017 and are continuing.  The bid paper work has not been created, so work dates are available yet.  However, depending on the cost of the project, it’s expected that this work will be performed in 2017.  Letters will be sent to residents on these streets once more construction details are available.

Culvert Lining

A select number of culverts will be lined and/or sleeved depending on the condition of the culvert.  Heritage Lake’s engineering firm is working on bid forms for this work.  It’s unknown at this time whether this work will take place in 2017 or 2018.  Once more information is known, the website will be updated.
