Road Construction August 11, 15, 16

Road resurfacing work is scheduled to occur August 11th, 15th, and 16th, depending on the weather. The road crew will work from 7 am to 4:30 pm. The work will take 3 days to complete and involves spreading oil and gravel on the following roads in two layers. The first layer will be fully completed within a day to 1.5 days of starting, then the last layer will be applied in the same order.

  • Heritage Dr from the boat parking lot towards Kenton and continuing to just past Strawberry
  • Heritage Dr from Brandy to Thornton
  • Oliva Dr
  • Kenton St, including the back entrance from Hild Rd
  • Windsor Dr
  • Norfolk Ave
  • Wilshire Wood from Fast Ave to the stop sign at Westminster

The contractor will start on Oliva Dr. then will go to Heritage Dr. near the boat parking lot and continue towards Kenton St. working on Windsor and Kenton as they pass them. The contractor will then continue on Heritage Dr ultimately ending at the locations defined on the map. The road committee recommends using the Bradford entrance whenever possible.

The surface sets about 15 mins after the oil is covered with the gravel. The surface can be driven on once the gravel is placed. The oil will not be exposed for very long without gravel, but please drive slowly and DO NOT drive on the oil or through someone’s property.  Please remove cars that are parked on the roadway. Heritage Lake Association and the contractor will not be responsible for vehicle damage from the oil.

Mail service may be interrupted on the day(s) resurfacing happens closest to your house. The post office will make every effort to deliver packages in the evening when construction is concluded for the evening. If you would like to pick up your mail at the post office or have it held during construction, please contact the post office.

If the event of inclement weather, this schedule may have to be adjusted. Please watch the website and entrance boards for postings of any potential changes.
