Reminder: Annual Meeting Deadlines Approaching

The date for the 2017 Annual Member Meeting has been set for Saturday March 18, 2017, 9am at the Lodge.  At this time, new Directors will be elected (three positions are opening), reports will be given from our accountant, lawyer, and each committee, and any business brought by the membership will be addressed.   Please mark your calendars with the following important dates:

Intent to Run Due: Tuesday January 17, 2017, Midnight.  All letters of intent to run for the board are due to the office by Midnight 01/17/17.  These statements can be mailed, delivered in person during office hours or emailed.  Please include a brief paragraph that will be shared with the members about you.  Three board position will be available.

Date of Record: Wednesday February 1, 2017, 7pm.  All 2016 Fees, fines, and assessments must be paid in full by the time the office closes on 02/01/17 in order to be eligible to vote at the 2017 Annual meeting.  Per the HLA Bylaws, there are no exceptions to this rule.  End of year statements are being mailed to all members in November 2016.  Please address any concern with the office sooner rather than later.  If you do not receive a statement by December 1, please contact the office for a duplicate copy.  Note: 2017 General Assessments due March 1 are NOT included  in the amount due by February 1.

Document Mailing: Wednesday March 8, 2017.  Annual meeting documents will be mailed to all members no later than 03/08/17, and likely sooner.  Please watch the website and Facebook page for announcements of when they are actually mailed and how to follow-up if you do not receive yours.

Advance Ballots & Proxies Due: Thursday March 16 2017, 7pm.  Advance Ballots and Proxies for the board will be due to the office no later than the close of business Thursday March 16, 2017.  These may be mailed or dropped off in person during office hours.  There is no electronic option for these documents as the originals must be used.  Ballots received after this time will still be counted, but must be presented at the annual meeting by 8:55 am.  Proxies may be presented or withdrawn at any time during the meeting.

Annual Meeting: Saturday March 18, 2017, 9am at the Lodge.  Please plan to arrive early to get checked in with the Teller Committee.
